My passion for learning has brought about an approach that blends many methodologies of training. Growing up as a competitive gymnast, I was exposed to body control and learned the importance of a base of strength. In graduate school, I became involved in Olympic Weightlifting and I quickly learned the importance of having a balance between stressors in life—including one’s exercise regimen. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, I love to help others balance their stressors as well, whether it’s an injury or a busy schedule that demands an efficient and effective movement practice.

I believe that rehab and strength training are on a continuum and that in order to feel our best, we must first learn to breathe effectively and transfer this into moving our bodies efficiently. The focus of my training is about how our human bodies are asymmetrical and we can use the breath as a tool to change our underlying patterns.

Aleena treats all types of orthopedic injuries from working with athletes to the general population. She also loves to work with people struggling with autoimmune disease to give them back the sense of their bodies and freedom of movement on their healing journey.
